OnLine Image, Inc. and Lightlink Internet is now offering High Speed Wireless Access in selected portions of Ithaca, Watkins Glen and the Surrounding area. The "Selected Areas" are those that can see one of our 4 antenna locations in Watkins Glen or multiple locations in Ithaca... the view can't be blocked by buildings or trees.

The system is a high speed connection following the IEEE 802.11b specification with speeds as much as 25 times faster than 56k access and up to 2 times faster than most Cable delivery systems. The signal is delivered to an antenna on the outside of your home, from there the antenna cable (about 1/2" diameter) goes into your house where that antenna connects to a bridge, that changes the signal to standard Ethernet, from there it goes via cat5 cable to a 4 port router that can connect up to 4 computers. The wireless signal is secured to our head end in Ithaca via a VPN (Virtual Private Network) for security. If you want the signal to be wireless inside your home you will need to purchase a Wireless Access Point or Router (There are Linksys wireless routers for sale locally for less than $60)

WIRELESS CONNECTION EQUIPMENT IS INCLUDED IN BOTH MONTHLY AND YEARLY SERVICES.

  • RESIDENTIAL ACCOUNTS: $45/month or $450/year and *basic installation for either is $300

  • *Basic installtion is a panel antenna mounted on the side of your house with no tripods on the roof , no cable lengths of over 30', no digging, no interior wiring beyond the main connection, No Equipment required to be outside (Exterior equipment is an additional $200), and no electrical work.
